About DJ David S.

David started his professional DJ career in 1991 in Hsin-Chu, a city in Taiwan recognized for quality universities and Hi-Tech industries. David graduated from graduate school, and on completing compulsory military service in 1997, he returned to Hsin-Chu and worked as a professional engineer. In 2001 a meeting with a good friend from Hong Kong changed the direction of David's life as this friend brought him back to the DJ booth. That's Mr. Patrick Sun, the founder of HX Production. David had his international debut at Queens Club in Hong Kong in February, 2002.  His success there led him to be invited to launch Hong Kong's first T-dance “Decadence” in July that year.  Decadence with its unprecedented attendance was an immediate success and has since given rise to a series of very popular monthly parties including World AIDS Day Party in December, 2002.

Meanwhile, David's popularity continued to rise in his home-base Taiwan.  He performed at clubs in Taipei (2nd Floor, Eden, Luxy, Vacuum Space), Taichung (Seduce, Sparc, Soda) and BoBos in Kaohsiung. Besides those party venues, David also spun for fashion events, like Dior, Dun Hill, Chanel, Lancome, Diesel, Johnnie Walker due to his model looking and awareness of fashion music elements. Once, David had his appearance in MTV for the DJ contest in 2003. He was the only house DJ going to the final when the time that Hip-Hop ruled.

As a result of this increasing exposure and popular recognition, David is touring Asia continuously. He was invited 4 times, from 2003 to 2006, for Nation party in Singapore and Phuket, which attracted over 8 thousands clubbers in the summer of 2004, as well as the Nation Promo Tour in San Franciso in September 2006. You could also find David’s name in AgeHa Tokyo, the biggest club in Asia, for PB04/PB10 party and the recent Shangri-La 05. North to Seoul, Shanghai and south to Manila and KL, fans gathered for David’s gig. One unforgettable experience for David was the “mini-marathon” tour in Hong Kong back in Sep. 2003. He spun at 4 different clubs, Drop, Home, Queens, and Curve, within 24 hours! All fours gigs were different and terrific. With all these exposures, David was the "Man of Passion" in the popular magazine "GQ Taiwan" of Jan, 2004 issue, and got reported in many others like “Milk”, "Eslite Reader", "Men's Uno", "Pots", "Bang", China Times, United Daily and "ELLE"...etc.

In 2004, David had the first compilation CD released in Singapore for Nation.04 party under Fridae Music by EMI. This compilation, with DJ Sawa from Japan, debuted at No.3 on HMV Soul/Dance chart. Right before the new year of 2005, David released another chart topper "Resident*002 Housequake!!!" by I/O Music Taiwan. This Asia wide release soon brought him an Asia tour again. His 3rd release “Catwalk” is featuring the most upfront Electro sounds and out in the Summer of 2006. Now, David is the prima DJ for HX production HK, and resident DJ for In House, Room18 (18 Lover), special guest of G5 in Taipei, Taiwan.

1991年，David在新竹求學時，便半工半讀的開始他的DJ生涯，前後四年的時間，直到研究所畢業入伍。和其他的理工科同學一樣，David退伍後即在新竹科學園區當起了工程師，直到2002年David從香港再出發，從蘭桂坊的Queens開始，David主打每個月的Decadence派對，這一系列成功的派對，包括2002年的世界愛滋日慈善派對，David不但成功的回到DJ台，也造就當時轟動的香港週日茶舞風潮。

很快的，David的名聲傳回了台灣，開始在各大小俱樂部表演，包括台北的2nd Floor、Eden、Luxy、Vacuum Space等，台中的Seduce、Sparc、Soda，以及高雄的BoBos。除此之外，由於David業餘的廣告演出及對時尚音樂的涉獵，你不難在各大小時尚派對，像是Dior、DunHill、Chanel、Lancome、Diesel、Johnnie Walker等，發現David打碟的身影。David還參加了2003年MTV辦的DJ大賽，雖然在一片嘻哈聲中敗北，但David卻是唯一一位進入最後決賽的House DJ。

累積了許多成功的演出經驗，在香港經紀人Mr. Patrick Sun的安排下，David開始在亞洲各大城市表演。連續 四年，2003到2006，David在新加坡(05, 06年於普吉島)的國慶派對演出，尤其是’04年，有上萬的舞客湧入聖陶沙的這場戶外派對，見證了David現場的操盤功力。此外，全亞洲最大的巨型俱樂部，位於東京的AgeHa，也 三次邀請David為其Paradise Ball和Shangri-La主題派對打碟。2006年的九月, David更是隨著Fridae的Nation promo tour到了舊金山進行三場演出。David的海外演出經驗豐富，北到漢城 、上海，南到馬尼拉、吉隆坡，都可以發現David的粉絲搶著和他合照。最難忘的一次經驗是2003年9月在香港的一次“迷你馬拉松”，David在24小時內，從Drop開始，到Home、Queens、Curve，一共四家，音樂則從Disco、Funky，到Tribal、Progressive，讓四場派對各具特色。David的園區工程師、廣告模特兒背景(包括五支電視CF)，加上驚人的“外銷”次數，讓台灣的GQ雜誌於2004年的1月號，將David報導為該期的"Man Of Passion"，後續則有如"誠品好讀"、"Men's Uno"、"破報"、"Bang"、"ELLE"、 中國時報、聯合報，香港”Milk”等相繼專訪這位台灣的國際DJ。

隨著'04年成功的國慶派對，David在新加坡EMI旗下發行了第一張混音合輯。和日本DJ Sawa合作的這套合輯，在新加坡的HMV Soul/Dance排行榜上首週便得到第三名，創下銷售佳績。2005新年前，由台灣的"艾奧音樂"製作，EMI二度為David發行混音大碟"Resident*002 Housequake!!!"，隨著專輯發行，David再次巡迴亞洲！ 第三張專輯”Catwalk”則 於’06年夏季發行。目前David除了仍是香港HX Production的首席DJ外，台灣則在台北的In House、Room18 (18 Lover)駐場及Luxy G5的客座DJ。
